- 2 lbs Sirloin Steak (thinly sliced)
- 1 Green Bell Pepper (sliced into thin strips)
- 1 Red Bell Pepper (sliced into thin strips)
- 2.1 oz Sliced Onion
- 3 Cloves Garlic (crushed)
- 0.7 oz Chopped Scallion
- 1 tsp Grated Ginger
- 4 Sprigs of Thyme
- 1 tbsp Beef Seasoning (or all-purpose seasoning)
- 3 tsp Browning Sauce
- 1 tsp Salt (or to taste)
- ¼ cup Beef Stock
- 1 ½ tsp Cornstarch
- 2 tbsp Cooking Oil
Instructions
- Marinate the Steak: Season the steak with beef seasoning, browning sauce, salt, and crushed garlic. Let it sit for 15 minutes.
- Sear the Steak: Heat oil in a pan and sear the steak until browned. Remove and set aside.
- Cook the Veggies: In the same pan, sauté onions, bell peppers, scallions, and ginger until tender.
- Combine and Simmer: Return the steak to the pan, add beef stock, and sprinkle cornstarch. Simmer until the sauce thickens.
- Finish with Thyme: Stir in fresh thyme sprigs and serve hot.
Notes
- For extra tenderness, slice the steak against the grain before cooking.
- Swap beef stock with vegetable stock for a lighter version.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat gently to preserve texture.
