  • 1 tablespoon whole milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat & Prepare the Pan

    • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
  2. Make the Cinnamon Filling

    • In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.
  3. Prepare the Streusel Topping

    • In another bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Add melted butter and mix until crumbly. Set aside.
  4. Mix Dry Ingredients

    • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Cream Butter and Sugar

    • In a large mixing bowl, beat softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  6. Add Wet Ingredients

    • Mix in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract and sour cream. Blend until smooth.
  7. Combine Wet & Dry Ingredients

    • Gradually fold dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined (do not overmix).
  8. Assemble the Cake

    • Pour half the batter into the prepared pan. Sprinkle the cinnamon filling evenly over the batter. Spread the remaining batter on top, then sprinkle with the streusel topping.
  9. Bake the Cake

    • Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let it cool for 15 minutes before serving.

  • In a small bowl, whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Drizzle over the cooled cake.
