Instructions
1. Make the Choux Pastry:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a saucepan, bring water, butter, and salt to a boil.
- Reduce heat and add flour, stirring constantly until a dough ball forms.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well.
- Spread dough into a 9-inch circle on the baking sheet.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown. Let cool completely.
2. Prepare the Filling:
- In a bowl, whip heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
3. Assemble the Cake:
- Slice the cooled choux pastry into two layers.
- Spread the whipped cream filling evenly over the bottom layer.
- Place the top layer over the filling and press gently.
4. Make the Glaze:
- In a bowl, whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Drizzle over the top of the cake.
5. Serve:
- Slice and serve immediately, or refrigerate until ready to enjoy.
